Train station return to Tarporley?

Were you aware of the campaign to re-open the Beeston Castle – Tarporley train station?

There has been a significant development re the station project. The Department for Transport have officially approved the re-instatement of the station. This is an important step, but it is very early in the process with much still to do. The next stages are to find a sponsor, put in place a delivery plan which will include planning permission and funding, amongst many other things.

It is an important step though, and Beeston and Tarporley Station Reopening Group I would like to thank everyone who supported the work to enable them us get to this stage.

The Beeston and Tarporley Station Reopening Group are liaising with Willington Parish Council, and if there is sufficient interest from residents, can arrange a village meeting to explain further and answer any questions. Please let the Clerk know if you would be interested in attending.

In the meantime, CWaC have launched a transport planning initiative and have requested feedback from residents. If you might be inclined to provide such feedback, and perhaps provide your views on the station re-opening, this can be done at:
