A while ago Kelsall Parish Council suggested turning some wasted public spaces into mini-gardens, starting with this one on Church Street North. We'd like to turn this corner into a herb bed – for anybody to pick & work on. This sunny area would be very suitable for growing herbs such as sage, rosemary, bay, fennel, etc.
We're currently waiting for permission from Cheshire West & Chester Highways department to start; they've just started the approvals process (January 2024).
Kelsall has many pockets of green space which are just grass or weeds. These have generally been left as 'too small to do anything'. But these wasted spaces could be improved, with a bit of creativity and by working together!
We're looking for green-fingered or just enthusiastic residents who would like to helpus improve these spaces in Kelsall. Would you like to help? Can you provide some of the plants?
Once this first bed is done, we're on the look-out for more! Can you suggest other WASTED SPACES in Kelsall that could be turned into little community gardens?
