iTravel expands to Kelsall

Bus Service on Demand

itravel is a demand responsive transport service, meaning it does not follow fixed routes or timetables. Instead, journeys are booked in advance and routes adapt to meet passenger needs. The service covers a wide area including Helsby, Frodsham, Delamere and Acton Bridge, as well as some other villages, where no commercial services are available.

From 31 July 2026, itravel will be extending its service area to include Kelsall, Thornton-le-Moors, Great Barrow and Ashton to the East, and Whitegate and Acton Bridge to the West. This means more people can access comfortable, flexible, on-demand transport, with improved connections to key destinations.

• Operating Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm

• Saturday 9am to 5pm within the original operational area only

• Increased capacity with an additional vehicle

It is simple, easy and cost effective to use, just register to use the service, book your journey and you're off. You can book an itravel journey up to 20 minutes before you wish to travel (depending on availability) and up to 14 days in advance
