Improved wildflower areas on Green

The Parish Council is planning work to improve the wildflower areas on Kelsall Green. 

Two small areas were started as a trial a couple of year ago: a narrow strip along the fence with the Morris Dancer, and a larger area at the opposite side, between the zip wire and the hard ball court. 

Our grass cutting contractors are going to 'scalp' the areas next week, to allow for sowing wildflower and meadow grass seeds. We will also make the strip by the Morris Dancer much wider at the same time. 

We'd appreciate if dog owners could keep their dogs out of the newly sown areas for a while, to give the seed time to grow.
