Kelsall Parish Council and Neighbourhood Plan team are inviting you to a briefing on July 17, about the Cheshire West consultation on planning changes in the borough.
Key changes include yearly mandatory target for 1,921 houses (up from 532), weakening Green Belt rules.
The changes will have significant impacts on Kelsall and other villages and the Neighbourhood Plan team is keen to help residents take part in this important consultation. We will hold one session from 2pm to 4pm, and again at 6pm to 8pm, in Kelsall Community Centre.
Cheshire West have outlined several options for delivering the changes through the Local Plan – the key planning document for the borough:
They are consulting on these options, and other amended planning rules, from now to the end of August.
While the local plan is updated, Councils are required to approve most planning applications in order to meet the targets.
