Kelsall Pre-School and Klub is set in the grounds of Kelsall CP School, in Kelsall Village. The Pre-School building, which is also used for the out of school club 'Kelsall Klub' has good road access and is set in a good location central to the village. The Pre-School offers a wide range of toys and equipment to help with imaginative play and learning, in addition to art and craft activities, including cooking. The Pre-School and Klub enjoy the use of the area available outdoors, where there is a lovely purpose built play area. The children have access to bikes, trikes, prams, and larger outdoor play equipment. In the warmer months the children attending the out of school club also have access to the neighbouring primary school field.
Kelsall Pre-School is a committee run registered charity, open to children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old and are registered to care for up to 26 children per session. Sessions run Monday to Friday, with morning sessions running from 9.15am until 11.45am and afternoon sessions running Monday to Thursday from 12.45pm until 3.15pm following local school times. We are also able to offer additional lunch club facilities from 11.45am until 12.45pm Monday to Thursday for an additional cost. During the summer term the children who will be heading to 'big school' in September are offered additional 'rising 5's' sessions on a Friday afternoon from 12.45pm-3.15pm. This session aimed to prepare them for reception class, and has a different structure to the usual Pre-School session.
Kelsall Klub is part of the same committee run registered charity, offering wrap around childcare for children aged 3-14. With a breakfast club running from 8am to 9am, at approximately 8.45m the children are taken over to the 'big' school next door. We provide toast and cereal at breakfast club, and a range of activities. We also offer an after school club, which runs from 3.15 when school finishes, until 6pm. We collect the children from within the school building and escort them over to the Pre-School building, where they are given a snack and have the opportunity to part take in various activities, both outdoor and inside.
