St Philip's Church, Kelsall
The Revd Ian Enticott announced on 3rd January 2010 that he would be leaving
the parish at the end of May. He took up his new position as Director of
the African Pastors' Fellowship on
1st June. This charity, based in the Midlands, works in support of churches in East Africa. There
are training seminars for existing ministers, many of whom have little training before they
begin. It also gives assistance with buying bicycles for transport in rural areas, advice on
income-generating projects for pastors' families and is overseeing the writing and translation
of Bible commentaries and Sunday School materials in local languages.There are mixed feelings in Kelsall about his departure - people are pleased for Ian, Fiona and the family as they return to working with churches in Africa and across the UK, but there is also a great feeling of loss for St Philip's church and the village. Ian's last service in Kelsall was on Sunday 25th April 2010.
St. Philip's is the Parish church for the village of Kelsall. The Church is situated in the
middle of the village on Chester Road.

- The church has a Sunday School, now called SPLASH (Sharing, Praying, Learning, Activities, Singing and Having fun) which meets in the Church Lounge at 10.30am.
- For older children and teenagers there are the Whatever and Whatever Next groups.
- The creche is in the vestry, also at 10.30am.
- There is also a half-hour prayer group every Tuesday morning at 9.30 a.m., lasting for about half an hour.
- On the second Wednesday of each month there is a short service of Holy Communion at 9.00 a.m.
- There is an informal worship service called iPraise which takes place on a Sunday evening in the church lounge approximately once a month.
